This position is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and/or coordinating all aspects of product development to include customer management, product strategy, market and product research, pricing, forms development, reinsurance issues, marketing, deployment and service. Directing development efforts from the conceptual stage through the product life cycle to optimize profitability and meet financial, marketing, and growth goals. Conducting extensive market research in connection with new programs to include demographics, competition and economic information. Working closely with profit centers and assisting them with the evaluation of opportunities and products within their area of operation. Providing guidance and training (internal and external) regarding product development issues. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial insurance, with in-depth knowledge of policies, practices, coverage, forms and underwriting strategies.  Working knowledge of marketing strategies to include market analysis, communication strategies, customer management and product management. Knowledge and/or experience in product development; reinsurance placements and procedures, retention strategies, and workflow and processing procedures.  Individual should possess effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently as a member of a team and independently.  Please see the attached Position Description for additional information.
