Regional Excess Underwriters, LLC, a member of the W.R. Berkley Corporation, is an insurance specialty company that brokers and underwrites excess and surplus lines of property & casualty insurance. Regional Excess Underwriters has some exciting opportunities for experienced brokers in the South, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Upper Midwest. Individual will be involved in the growth and profit initiatives of the organization by developing positive business relationships with agents, brokers and insurance carriers. Responsibilities include obtaining submissions for quotation, interacting positively with agents to determine successful opportunities and needs, negotiating with insurers to obtain appropriate products and coverages and providing accurate and timely proposals. In addition, you will participate in various industry functions for the purpose of marketing products and services to prospective agents and brokers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination required, CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.  Knowledge and understanding of insurance markets, products, coverages and the legal environment for the applicable operating territory is necessary.
