Our claim department mission is to always do the right thing for our insureds. We deliver personalized claim service that is responsive, compassionate and revolves around the needs of our agents and policyholders. Our highly trained claim professionals recognize that fast and efficient claim service is essential to mitigating losses and restoring your business to its pre-loss condition as quickly as possible.

Three regional claim offices provide local, knowledgeable Claim Representatives and Specialists who understand the environment where you do business. Our centralized claim reporting and paperless communications enable us to provide quick and effective responses.

What Makes our Claim Service Different?

When we receive a claim, we commit to same-day contact. Claim reporting services are available around the clock in case of emergencies. Our goal is to inspect your damages within 48 hours of the loss being reported.

Telephone service provided by human beings…no automated call routing during regular business hours. When you need to report or follow-up on a claim, our friendly switchboard operators will ensure you are able to speak to a live claim department representative who is eager to assist.

We take a proactive and service-oriented stance in educating and assisting our policyholders to minimize loss costs. Through our PACE© (Protecting Assets/Controlling Exposures) program, we provide claim account specialists who meet regularly with key clients and, in concert with our risk management experts, develop detailed loss analyses and trending reports along with helpful suggestions.

We pride ourselves on our superior expertise in Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims. Our goal is to allow injured workers to continue to contribute and employers to optimize production and realize the most favorable insurance rates. WC programs we offer include:

W.R. Berkley has set up a regional Catastrophe Plan for its member companies, allowing us to dedicate the resources of a Fortune 500 company in response to a catastrophe affecting our insureds.
